The Small Business Resource Center (SBRC) is the development powerhouse of the 9th Island Chamber of Commerce & Foundation, offering comprehensive training, mentorship, technical assistance, and pathways to capital for minority-owned, women-owned, veteran-owned, LGBT-owned, and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander businesses in Nevada.

As Nevada's dedicated hub for underserved entrepreneurs, we provide the tools, guidance, and connections needed to launch, grow, and thrive—filling gaps in traditional support systems with culturally competent resources tailored to our ʻohana.

Our Mission for Small Business Support

The SBRC exists to:

  • Guide new ideas from concept to reality
  • Strengthen established businesses with advanced strategies
  • Offer free or low-cost training, certifications, and consulting
  • Connect members to funding, contracts, and partnerships
  • Advocate for supplier diversity and minority certifications

We support every stage of the business journey, ensuring no entrepreneur is left behind—especially those from NHPI and underrepresented communities.
