The Hawaiian Cultural Center is the vibrant cultural home of the 9th Island Chamber of Commerce & Foundation in Las Vegas a dedicated space for Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander education, artistic expression, community events, and heritage festivals.
As part of the 9th Island Pipeline, the Center preserves and celebrates Hawaiian traditions while bridging the ocean to connect families, practitioners, and newcomers in Southern Nevada. Guided by an advisory board of Native Hawaiian cultural experts from the islands, every program reflects authentic protocol, lived experience, and historical integrity.
Visitors of all ages can experience, learn, and participate in Hawaiian language, hula, music, arts, storytelling, canoe building, and more all taught and guided by Native Hawaiian elders, practitioners, and cultural leaders living in Hawaii. The Center blends hands-on education with live performance, offering a truly immersive cultural experience.
The Center also serves as a platform for Hawaiian artists, craftspeople, and entrepreneurs, connecting them with new audiences while protecting cultural integrity. Here, visitors not only enjoy performances, exhibitions, and workshops—they support living Hawaiian traditions and creativity.
Every program, every space, every performance is guided by authenticity, lineage, and cultural authority, ensuring that Hawaiian culture thrives beyond the islands while remaining true to its roots.
The Hawaiian Cultural Center exists to:
- Honor and teach Hawaiian language, practices, and histories
- Provide space for cultural practitioners, educators, and artists to share across generations
- Foster community gatherings that strengthen ʻohana bonds
- Ensure authenticity through guidance from island-based experts
In a mainland setting far from the islands, we create a welcoming home where traditions thrive, newcomers learn, and cultural knowledge flows freely.
